What you'll do:
We are looking forward for an Electronics Engieer to shape a rhobust VAVE pipeline across Eaton's product portfolio comprising of Electrical sectors across Americas and EMEA region and E-Mobility segments. The candidate will be part of DtV (Design to Value) team. The primary function of this position is to focus and drive the Design to value/VAVE methodology by working closely with various Eaton business groups as a part of Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team
-She/He will be responsible for working on various aspects of cost out with the primary goal of developing, and maintaining services for creating a robust pipeline of executable cost out projects across all the above product lines within Eaton.
-She/He should be versed with the VAVE process viz. Costout and NPI methodology from a reputed organisation preferably from Electrical sector

-Strong technical knowledge is required on the various products in Electrical sector viz. LV/MV Circuit Breakers Panels, Fuses operational principle, construction and application

"• Drive and shape DtV/VAVE portfolio by working closely with various Eaton business groups as part Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team. This involves close collaboration with various Eaton business group divisions and Global Procurement Organization to generate cost out opportunities.
• She/He will be responsible for working on various aspects of Direct Material Productivity with the primary goal of identifying, developing, and maintaining services that deliver significant cost out opportunities as well as creating a robust pipeline of executable cost out projects.
• The applicant should have capability to understand and analyze product margin data, product costed BOMs, leverage data analytics & ideation principles to create new project opportunities.
• Identify cost out opportunities in different products and systems through benchmarking, teardown, competitor analysis, functionality analysis (FAST, FCW etc.) and study of applicable standards
• Collaborate with global and local stakeholders/teams to efficiently develop and implement overall VAVE pipeline.
• The applicant must have hands on experience with design of products which includes concept generation, component and material selection, drawing creation
• Expertise in Product Teardown analysis, Design Benchmarking, Competitive Benchmarking and should costing of electronic products
• Sound analytical skills in Cost calculations of electronics components from the bill of materials are required.
• Should have exposure and good understanding for VAVE, Cost effective solutions deliverables and Should-Costing methodology.
• Should have good knowledge on working with SAP, Bill of material
• Experience in benchmarking of integrated circuits & Power Electronics from each PCB and good understanding of circuit theory & Power electronics.
• Strong knowledge of Power semiconductors, Power electronics, passive and active components.
• Thorough understanding of PCB layout and EMC/EMI design practices, of voltage clearance/creepage requirements, insulation and interconnection techniques.
• Preffered exposure in modeling and simulation using various tools such as Mentor graphics, Altium Designer & LTSpice etc
• Should have knowledge on the global design standards like IEC,UL,CSA, NEMA or any other compliance standard.
• Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement.
• Experience in PLM system is required to get drawings and cost data ( Enovia / SAP preferred) will be added advantage.
Qualifications:
BE/Btech/ME/Mtech Electronics
3 to 6 years experience in industry.
Skills:
Costout experties, VAVE, PCBA, Analogue & Digital circuits, Technical knowledge on electronics component, Teardown and Benchmarking
