Eaton's Power Components Division (PCD) is currently seeking an Electrical Test Engineer. This position is located at our Beaver, PA (Pittsburgh) plant location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year. This role includes a one-time $6000.00 sign-on bonus.

What you'll do:

The Electrical Test Engineer will conduct electrical testing in our state-of-the-art power test lab, supporting product development, innovation, and certification goals. This role involves testing, supporting, and verifying complex setups, ensuring lab safety, maintaining equipment, and preparing test reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical tests in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA standards for electrical distribution products.
  • Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety and EHS policies.
  • Assist in lab scheduling, task alignment for technicians, and equipment calibration.
  • Coordinate with customers and clients to complete required activities.
  • Maintain lab test equipment and ensure all test equipment is calibrated and up to date.
  • Implement and maintain 5S activities and support all safety initiatives.
  • Track test request status and participate in planning lab equipment upgrades or repairs.
  • Organize incoming and outgoing samples and maintain yearly test sample lists.
  • Conduct daily activities and special assignments as requested by the manager.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to enhance lab efficiency and deliver critical project results.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, with graduation date no later than August 2025.
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8
  • Minimum of one internship/co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months of electrical, mechanical, or industrial experience completed at the time of this application
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in electrical testing or electrical power/control systems design
  • Experience using a computer for detailed test documentation and analysis
  • Experience with power systems component operation such as circuit breakers, motors, transformers, panelboards, PLCs, HMIs, solid state components
  • Experience with measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and megger equipment

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members to problem solve
  • Capable of clearly communicating ideas and concepts within a team environment
  • Ability to travel < 10%
