Eaton's Electrical Sector is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Airdrie, Alberta facility.
In this role the successful candidate will provide timely and accurate drawings, mechanical design, materials information, and production engineering support for the manufacturing of motor control centers and aftermarket products in accordance with the customer specifications and the Canadian Electrical Code. This position is also responsible for providing product support (technical, application, etc.) to the General Sales Force & Marketing, Consolidated Transaction Center (CTC), and Eaton's Electrical Services & Systems (EESS) teams.

What you'll do:
- Review incoming orders for accuracy of design and compliance to customer specifications
- Design and set up custom steel parts as required
- Resolve steel design issues
- Resolve non-compliant technical issues and prepare timely drawings for approval or manufacturing
- Develop as required, the necessary electrical control schematic to ensure product functionality
- Generate non-stock bills of material to fulfill order requirements
- Provide technical and engineering support to production, marketing, CTC, and sales teams
- Assist the warranty administrator and the engineering field service representative in resolving customer field challenges and issues
- Provide feedback to Product Line Manager on customer needs and applications not currently available
- Support and participate in the implementation of corporate initiatives and attainment of department and operations goals
Qualifications:
Basic (required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Post Secondary Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
- One (1) year of hands-on electrical engineering experience
- Basic understanding of MS-Office and AutoCAD Electrical
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
- No relocation provided - candidate must reside within 80km of the Airdrie, AB site
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of hands-on engineering experience specializing in the manufacturing of Electrical Power Distribution Assemblies or Motor Control Centers
- Previous experienced using Inventor
