Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a EHS Engineer Analyst.
What you'll do:
Primary Function:
Support the EHS manager in sustain and improve the Eaton EHS Management system in our facility through the coordination of activities related to Environmental Health & Safety. Apply Engineering Skills, project management and Investigation analysis for the EHS opportunities identified through internal assessment and EHS observations. Conduct assessment to improve the implemented environmental sustainability program and Health and Safety risk reduction/ elimination. Apply and conduct Machine Safety Risk Assessment and Trouble Shooting Technique to prevent accidents. Conduct ergonomic analysis and lead the implementation of improvement to reduce the risk. Ensures a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

Essential Functions:
1. Support the EHS Manager to implement corporate initiatives and risk reduction campaign through all department.
2. Support in the identification, communication and implementation of the Environmental aspects and Health & Safety risk control by leading the Safety Steering Committee monthly meetings promoting active participation.
3. Monitor, update, and maintain monthly leading and lagging EHS metrics for the environmental sustainability program and H&S compliance calendar. Submitting on-time the compliance reports to corresponding agencies and updating the Benchmark compliance calendar platform.
4. Support the EHS Manager in conducting the workstation risk assessment, and ergonomic analysis of the manufacturing process and workstation, including non-routine task. Including the evaluation of new process and equipment.
5. Support production supervisor in conducting the incident investigation using root cause analysis (5-Why and 8D tool), identify actions and follow-up to close the defined corrective actions through EHS Alert or Benchmark. Upload the incident into MESH PRISM platform for recordability, including recordable, First Aid, Near Miss and Environmental incidents.
6. Monitor and coordinate the waste disposition process and chemical management in accordance with law and regulations (OSHA & EPA).
7. Support the Occupational Nurse to maintain the Industrial Hygiene monitoring plan and the corresponding reporting.
8. Support the EHS manager to maintain updated the Training and Legal Matrix, provides site specific safety training, and ensures proper documentation and records of completed training.
9. Support the EHS Manager to maintain the environmental aspect map (waste, energy, and water).
10. Conducts site audits to ensure site compliance with the organization's safety programs, leading the MESH Champions and the safety weekly meetings.
11. Integrates all safety programs into new site start-ups to ensure a safe and healthy work environment upon service delivery.
12. Communicates with customer safety contacts to ensure alignment and to address any compliance issues.
13. Maintain the contractor management program assuring compliance to law and regulations.
14. Support EHS manager in the implementation of energy resiliency and reduction project.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, (preferred Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental), or equivalent level of experience.
• Previous experience working with safety programs in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficient in OSHA and EPA regulations
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
