What you'll do:

The Document Controller provides documentation related support for the Eaton project delivery team for large data centers. In this position you must be flexible and able to manage urgent requests as required, while working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with an aptitude for problem-solving, learning, and organizing in a face paced environment. Further responsibilities:

  • Liaises with Client / Contractor / Subcontractor, also chases and aligns with Internal- and External Stakeholders for information.
  • Preparing and Maintaining all Technical Submittal- and RFI Registers.
  • Processes new Technical Submittal Issues, prepares coversheet and upload to project specific documentation system.
  • Checks compliance and quality of documents, follows-up status and reports progress on RFI's.
  • Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Create sections according to our submitted submittals and in alignment with client's request.
    • Monitor approvals and troubleshoot errors.
    • Create & submit CMMS in alignment with Serial Numbers and Client Documentation System (Compass) information.
  • Other general responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Maintain Master Doc Control Register to reflect new projects data.
    • Execute several Continues Improvement actions - Folder structure related.
    • Provide guidance for Project Managers on Documentation related questions.
    • Attend external Meetings O&M related.
    • Function as a Back up for general Documentation activities in Documentation Manager absences.
    • Provide support on all reasonable documentation related request.
    • Any other reasonably requested tasks to ensure the smooth running of all projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (in a technical/engineering field is an advantage) from an accredited institution or final year university student.
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality documentation (e.g. Technical Submittals, Operation manuals) in a complex project management environment, experience to organize and preserve documents.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail while balancing various activities and competing demands.
  • Excellent (Advanced) working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Can do attitude and interest in learning and growing, taking on new challenges.
  • Highly autonomous, comfortable and capable at communicating and working with a wide variety of stakeholders across departments.
  • Right to work and freely travel in EU.
  • Familiarity of electrical products (3-phase UPS, medium voltage transformers, etc.) are nice to have.
  • Knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) is nice to have.
  • Multi-year experience and deep knowledge of documentation tools such as Aconex, BIM360, Procore, 4P - are nice to have.
