Our Corporate IT Organization is driving the adaption of innovation across Eaton! In the role of Director of AI Strategy for Corporate IT, the individual will manage the development and execution of the enterprise AI strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational objectives. They will lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive AI strategy that supports the company's vision and goals. Responsibilities include researching emerging AI technologies, assessing their business implications, and advising on strategic investments. They will establish a framework and strategy for the deployment and governance of artificial intelligence and generative AI within the enterprise, including creating a centralized function and guidelines to support business initiatives, and enhancing data science efforts across various domains to foster growth, efficiency, and risk management in line with key corporate priorities. This position must be located within 50 miles of any Eaton U.S location and requires 25% travel.

What you'll do:
• Lead a team of technical experts and collaborating with various business functions in a matrixed environment to design, prototype, develop, and test analytics solutions.
• Ensure the adoption of best practices in model development and risk management and working closely with business partners to implement and evaluate advanced analytics and AI solutions are essential aspects of this position.
• Collaborate with business leaders, functions, and engineering teams to identify AI use cases with significant return on investment. Determine impactful AI opportunities and ensure that AI investments align with the overall business strategy to achieve measurable results.
• Lead the exploration of generative AI, large language models (LLMs), computer vision, and automation to enhance business efficiencies.
• Govern AI ethics, compliance, and risk management in alignment with industry best practices.
• Evaluate AI vendor partnerships, acquisitions, and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Facilitate education and change management initiatives to promote AI adoption throughout the enterprise.
• Partner with the CIO and executive team to articulate the progress and impact of AI both internally and to the Board.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum ten (10) years concentrating on delivering technical solutions related to AI, data science, or digital transformation.
• Minimum five (5) years of enterprise IT leadership defining and executing AI strategies and investment priorities for a large multi-billion-dollar organization.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience managing, developing, leading, and influencing large engineering teams in global environments, building, and delivering AI-powered solutions at scale to achieve successful outcomes.
• Experience leading projects involving AI applications such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, predictive analytics, and automation.
• Experience with AI governance, compliance, and ethical considerations including evaluating AI vendor partnerships, acquisitions, and making build-or-buy decisions.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders in high-value-driven environments to influence at the CXO level and across multiple businesses, functions, and regions.
• Proven success in delivering measurable business impact through AI initiatives, driving AI adoption, and ensuring that AI investments align with business strategy to successfully achieve KPIs, metrics, and goals.
• Experience in large-scale industrial/manufacturing settings.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $200,000- $280,000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
