Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Design Engineer.
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position will execute engineering/technical, they will provide applications engineering for product line support - this includes, but is not limited to product development, engineering designs, providing direction to designers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Plan to Maintain Production Schedule, delegate and prioritize engineering tasks to meet Profit Plan and OTP.
B. Translate incoming order information into bills-of-material and CAD drawings, including control schematics and wiring diagrams, understandable by engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
C. Provide guidance to manufacturing during new product introduction, assist and testers on technical issues.

D. Lead team meetings, delegate and maintain accountability of engineering group to complete tasks.
E. Drive engineering continuous improvement actions to increase productivity and quality.
F. Analyze field problems that may require research into product and application history.
G. Coordinate with other Eaton plants on engineering strategies, forecast, and best practices.
H. Execute plan tasks and follow up on specific engineering activities to achieve goals.
I. Maintain effective communication channels with engineering personnel.
J. Recommend and implement changes in ENG procedures and methods that increase level and quality of the product.
K. Increase Organization Capability by coaching and counseling Juarez engineering when applicable.

Qualifications:
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
A. Provide Maintenance and follow-up to Order management systems, including Mapics, Excel spreadsheets, Vista.
B. Create and maintain updated the manufacturing information (BOM, Dwgs) using the different documentation systems (CMS, D-Spec, AS-400, Vista, Mapics, ECN, Acad / Inventor ... etc.)
C. Provide support to new product introduction spread (Variables of Pro-Launch implemented products)
D. Manage activities: Engineering Technician and Mechanical Design to comply with the plans for implementation of new products.
E. Provide technical support to the departments of Production Control, Customer Service, Technical Resource Center, Production, Quality, Manufacturing, Accounting, flex center and Materials.
F. Actively participate in the implementation of improvement projects that positively impact the Cost, Quality and Cycle Time.
G. Participate in the Corrective and Preventive Action system quality.
H. Help meet the objectives of environmental control system, know the policy, and comply with the methods and procedures applicable to this function.
I. Comply with EHS requirements.
J. Contribute towards the objectives, environmental and safety goals from the assigned areas.
K. Support to maintain the S.A.A. for environmental care and to comply with the requirements that apply to it.
L. Report any unsafe/hazardous EHS condition to the department concerned or direct supervisor.
M. Know the environmental aspects and impacts of your activity and apply the operational controls applicable to your position (Separate and deposit common garbage, recyclable paper, aluminum cans, empty toner, and ink cartridges in the appropriate containers; report water and gas leaks, reduce water and energy consumption and reduce waste generation)
N. Ensure that the personnel under your charge follow through the operational controls that apply to their areas of responsibility that may impact natural resources.
O. Complete assigned EHS trainings as needed.
P. Report any emergency situation you detect to EHS or your supervisor and follow their emergency response procedures.
