Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Data Integration Specialist.

The Data Integration Specialist position is responsible for the development and governance of solutions that transform raw data into valuable business insights. The specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing data integration processes using Low Code ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, creating data models following industry best practices (i.e. star / galaxy schemas), ensuring automated data security through Row Level Security, and maintaining data quality through robust data cleaning methods. This position bridges the gap between complex data sources and BI analytics & insights. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in data integration and modeling with a strong understanding of business intelligence concepts and best practices.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,500 - $134,200 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Design and implement data integration processes using Low Code ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools such as Power BI dataflows, Alteryx, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Create and maintain data models (i.e. Star & Galaxy Schemas) in Power BI for use by business analysts and self-service analytics.
  • Implement Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure data access is appropriately restricted based on user role and responsibilities.
  • Develop and execute data cleaning procedures within the ETL process to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Optimize and maintain data pipelines for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and functional Subject Matter Experts to understand data requirements and deliver accessible datasets.
  • Troubleshoot data integration issues and provide sustainable solutions.
  • Author and Maintain documentation on data integration processes, functionality, etc.

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration
  • Experience with SAP, PowerBI, and advanced Microsoft skills.
  • Proven track record of process improvement

Position Success Criteria:

  • Proficiency in Low Code ETL tools (Power BI Dataflows, Alteryx, Data Factory, ETC)
  • Strong understanding of star schema modeling and its application in Power BI
  • Experience implementing Row Level Security in BI environments.
  • Solid knowledge of data cleaning techniques and best practices within ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as lean or six sigma.
