Campus is completed by the end of 2023, and the 16,500 m² site will house research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof and will create up to 100 additional jobs. As one of the world's largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton's expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton's Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

What you'll do:

As Customer Quality Manager for three Phase UPS EMEA you will be the conduit for our customers and our center of excellence in Vantaa Helsinki. You will be responsible for ensuring proactive bidirectional communication with our customers and our customer quality engineers. Eaton quality is a positive differentiator with emphasis on customer centricity, this role will underpin that commitment. Further responsibilities:

  • Ensure short and reactive quality loop with customers and internal stakeholders (sales, production, etc) in order to promptly respond on critical field issues, to ensure their fast & effective resolution.
  • Analyze systemic gaps in these critical cases and share the best practices.
  • Coordinate the Customer Quality team resources to ensure and optimize them regarding customer prioritization, being accountable on resolution lead time given to customer as commitment.
  • Report out to BU management on critical cases' queue execution and raise immediate escalation in case of drift or slippage in execution due to issues on resource, root causing activities.
  • Prioritize and monitor Failure Analysis, follow PDCA / 8D Problem resolution methodology (characterization, containment, root-cause analysis, correction, prevention, closure).
  • Monitor and gather market data, identify possible blind spots, gaps and customer complaints, etc.
  • Develop long & mid-term improvement plan based on customer feedbacks to detect and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Drive Quality standard deployment, reporting and Zero Incident culture.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required, preferably in electrical Engineering or other technical discipline.
  • 5+ years work experience Quality/Customer Support
  • Knowledge and experience in customer facing Quality or Engineering work
  • Understanding manufacturing technologies and processes, ideally for power electronics and electrical products.
  • Possesses strong communication skills in English and Finnish, able to write and present to customers
  • Six Sigma Training or certification is desirable.
  • Thinking in a creative manner and concurrently focused on problem-solving with team player attitude.
  • Ability to define and roll-out strategies for quality.
