What you'll do:
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the successful lifecycle delivery of major critical infrastructure projects for strategic key account data centre customers across EMEA. Although the majority of works will be for new build and data centre fit out, this could also include other types of large and complex projects.
Working as an integral part of the EMEA Projects team, the PM can be a remote worker for some project phases, and travelling to be site based during construction implementation phases.
Eaton's Data Centre projects can involve every aspect of electrical power distribution from low to medium voltage, UPS (uninterrupted power supply), battery systems, and automation such as EPMS (Energy Power Monitoring System).

Responsibilities:
- Become the single point of contact for the external client and professional teams in areas such as specification management, factory build, testing change control, installation management and final testing up to and including the final handover phase.
- Overall planning of the project including Project overview, Contract structure, Detailed planning of the work packages, Resource planning, Scheduling, Project documentation, Project organization and Interface management.
- Identify, build, and maintain a project team. Ensure clear scope and understanding of deliverables for all internal (e.g. engineering, procurement, service) and external stakeholders (e.g. customers, end users, contractors, 3rd parties, subcontractors)
- Provide design submissions and confirmations for the projects to the customer and wider community from initial design submissions through design confirmation following the customer processes.
- Manage the project margin by controlling costs, managing variations, and regularly report out the financial forecast and status as required.
- Ensuring that all key metrics such as safety, customer satisfaction, financial performance and project execution timing are met throughout the lifecycle.
- Control and manage any change request and variation processes - identifying risk and obtaining instructions and cost contributions and monitoring for deviations.
Qualifications:
- The candidate should be an experienced, composed, highly motivated, self-starter who can effectively communicate and work with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally in a dynamic environment.
- As a minimum the role requires experience and background in an electrical discipline, ideally within a critical power environment such as data centres or utilities. Additionally, an understanding of automation and controls schemes such as BMS & SCADA systems would be desirable.
- The candidate should be a Certified PMP, Project Management Professional, or commitment to obtain.
- Experience working with or leading international teams is desired.
