What you'll do:

As the Customer Projects EHS Specialist you will develop and implement the Customer Projects EHS Management program in collaboration with other regions and functions. Together with Operational leadership, you will represent Eaton on EHS-related subjects and concerns in front of Customers. You will report to the Senior EHS Lead and functionally to the EMEA Customer Projects Director.

  • Using Eaton MESH programs as a framework, develop and implement at Customer Projects organization level all necessary programs and processes aimed at ensuring a safe preparation, execution and hand-over of customer projects
  • Own the vision and strategy for the EHS function and drives EHS culture and performance in safety, health and environmental sustainability across the Customer Projects organization in line with any regional or global strategies.
  • Identify and monitor relevant lagging and leading indicators to monitor performance of the Project EHS management programs, and lead regular EHS performance reviews with leadership
  • Develop and deploy a strategic approach that focuses on risk reduction, visible active leadership, building organizational capability and strengthening engagement at our project sites.
  • Manage the Project EHS Managers
  • Drives EHS performance at the project site level by ensuring execution of applicable EHS programs, including contractor management
  • Develops a structured, proportional and risk-based approach to site visits with the appropriate cadence of reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent technical field. (Master's degree in one applicable area preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in project EHS management

Skills:

• Expert knowledge of industry, state, and country environmental, health, and safety requirements
• Working knowledge of cross-functional EHS disciplines
• Understanding of construction and commissioning activities as they related to electrical installations or similar
• Professional H&S certification preferred
• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Exceptional team-building skills and demonstrated ability to lead through influence at all levels inside and outside Company
• Strong organizational skills including ability to manage large number of disparate projects and to track projects through completion
