What you'll do:
Eaton Corporation in Glenolden, PA is part of the Aerospace Group, Fluid and Electrical Distribution (FED) Division, situated just outside of Philadelphia, PA. Our plant manufactures a complete line of condition monitoring and accessory products for lubrication, hydraulic, chemical process, and refrigerant systems, in gas turbine engines, transmissions, gear boxes and other fluid containing systems for transportation, power generation, mobile equipment, mining and manufacturing markets. We have an exciting and challenging opening for a Drexel University Co-op program participant reporting directly to the site's Supply Chain Manager. The sites supply chain department handles $15 million+ worth of supplier spend, with shipments totaling upwards of $75M in 2023 and $88M in 2024. The department also handles the coordination of key business data such as sales forecast, inventory, and capacity planning. The site is forecasting a business growth phase which is expected to continue for the next several years.

In this role, the participant will be working alongside the Demand Planning Manager and the tasks done throughout the month on the different parts of the SIOP process as well as sales and production needs. This site will be replacing its ERP software later in 2025 and will need the assistance to carry on the day-to-day tasks while the implantation is happening. There will also be efforts to sit with different parts of the supply chain during the time here to learn the full scope of the process of a manufacturing facility. The participant will also learn the new software as it will be live before the 6mo rotation is over.
Day to Day Tasks: data gathering for various reports that support operations and inventory, master schedule production, creating/updating current supply chain procedures, participation in CI initiatives, planning and buying activities and any other tasks that require the support of the Demand Planning Manager. Applicant will also be working with most departments that also work in the facility such as operations, customer service, finance, engineering, etc.
The participant will grow lead meetings such as sales forecast, capacity among others.
Applicant must be able to work on own as well as with a team and not be afraid to speak up when necessary. Meetings are done both via Microsoft Teams and in person.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
• Actively enrolled in or received a Bachelor's degree in a Accredited institution
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (please do not round).
• Available for typical 6-month rotation, longer possible
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR/EAR or have the ability to be authorized under licenses from Department of State and Department of Commerce. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Office Software Experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate or Advanced co-op level. (2nd or 3rd rotation).
