Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineering Technician. The position will be based at our Sumter, SC facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $43499.97 - $63799.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
The primary role of the Continuous Improvement Engineering Tech is to support the Continuous Improvement team through driving continuous improvement throughout the assembly operations, primarily our Switchboard product line. This role will assist with the deployment of various CI tools, which will be used to improve productivity, quality, and safety.

In this function you will:
• Lead projects focused on productivity improvements within assembly (primarily around wiring processes)
• Work with manufacturing engineering team to design fixtures, tools, etc. for new processes
• Create & deploy method sheets for new processes
• Train employees, team leads, and supervisors, on new processes
• Deploy key CI tools (such as 5S, standard work, etc.)
• Support the CI team through participation on Rapid Improvement Events for the facility
• Support other areas of Operational Excellence (EHS, quality, etc.) as needed
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or technician experience
• Must be able to work in the U.S on a continuous basis without company sponsorship
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Experience with wiring assemblies

• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, computer) required
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PowerBI, etc.)
• Ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and to talk.
