Commercial Lead-2nd Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Commercial Lead-2nd Shift. The regularly scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $28.32 per hour plus a $.60/hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:

Eaton's B-Line Division is currently seeking a Commercial Team Leader to join our team. This position is based at our Sherman, TX facility. The Team Lead in Commercial will be a working lead who directs the assignments of the team to ensure goals are met. The core hours for this role are on second shift.

  • Drive improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI).
  • Assure dispatch lists are distributed to work centers daily.
  • Manage dispatch list for Primaries and review items for completion.
  • Conduct regular coordination with Planning Group on capacity, and production issues.
  • Work closely with Supervisors and production support staff to resolve issues (technical, process, etc.), and follow-up on preventative and corrective actions. You will also act in the capacity of Supervisor in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Manage HR/HR boards on work center to improve productivity and pareto any issues.
  • Conduct trainings sessions, checking for understanding of specific areas such as on the job training, refresher training, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • A minimum three years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Six months of leadership experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in all functions of SAP related to manufacturing.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment and specialty tools within the Value Stream.

Position Criteria:

  • Ability to prioritize schedules and expedite production orders as needed.
  • Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situation requiring additional training to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations and business initiatives. Assist in maintaining training records.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours plus and perform repetitious tasks.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail.
  • Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
