What you'll do:

Main Job Responsibilities -

• Provides leadership and training in the application & development of Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF), Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS), Eaton Lean Manufacturing programs, Eaton Business System tools and Eaton Operations Assessment tools within Batam plant

Specific Job Functions -

• Develop, implement and direct CI activities in Batam Plant to achieve Batam plant's business objectives and corporate goals
• Provide leadership and management in the areas of CIF and Lean Manufacturing
• Train, coach and mentor Green Belts in the areas of process improvement and process management
• Develop strategic plans to reduce Cost of Quality
• Responsible to provide strategic direction for the plant and advise the management team of its strategic roadmap
• Undertake the role of an Expert Leader in the areas of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to support process and continuous improvement in the business through alignment with the facility and division's CI goals
• Responsible for the implementation of CIF, ELSS programs and Kaizen initatives for the company
• Organize and follow-through with all company's CIF, ELSS & EBS-PULL projects
• Organize improvement projects, business meetings with Eaton Corprate division and parent company to review the company performance, in-line with the company's goals and objectives
• Develop strategic plans to deploy Lean tools (VSM / SW / TPM / 8D / Kaizen) to the operations to meet sustainable improvement
• Taking active parts in management of the Environment Health and Safety of the plant on the followings:
o Jointly approve MESH Program policy and operating manual
o Jointly appoint Management Representative to lead and co-ordinate the development and implementation of the MESH Program
o Approve and provide appropriate resources for the implementation of the MESH Program
o Provide joint commitment to ensure the effectiveness and success of the MESH Program throughout the plant
o Maintain close supervision and keep track of the overall MESH Program performance throughout the plant

Job Authority and Accountability -

• Approve all CI and continuous improvement related procedural and operational documents
• Act as a trainer and expert leader in the areas of six sigma and lean manufacturing
• Represent the plant for improvement projects and business meetings with Eaton corporate division
• Maintain and keep track of all the company's CIF, ELSS and EBS PULL projects and report progress of the respective projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field from an accredited school
  • At least 5 years of management experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Industrial Engineering.
