What you'll do:
As our Certification Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet stringent safety and compliance standards worldwide. Your responsibilities will include managing DoC and CE marking in Europe, handling global certifications such as ATEX and IECEx, and evaluating new products for inclusion in our portfolio. You will also validate and scrutinize data sheets, building procedures, and other necessary documentation to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing DoC and CE marking in Europe in line with relevant directives such as ATEX, EMC, and LVD.
- Managing global certifications, including ATEX, IECEx, and other national EX-schemes.
- Evaluating new products for portfolio inclusion.
- Validating and scrutinizing data sheets, building procedures, and manufacturing procedures.
- Providing technical support to internal production teams.
- Acting as the authorized person for hazardous area certification, DNV Type Approval, and signing the EU declaration of conformity.
- Conducting annual reviews of Eaton HERNIS certificates, technical documents, and declarations.
- Collaborating with the quality department to ensure compliance with EN ISO/IEC 80079-34.
- Liaising with certification issuers regarding design changes.
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging compliance engineering practices and standards.
- Ensuring functional safety product compliance and staff competence.
- Managing external audits from relevant certification bodies.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering, or at least five years of practical experience with similar knowledge.
- Knowledge of EX-products and EX-requirements would be a plus
- Relevant experience with the 60079 range of standards would be a plus
- Fluency in Norwegian and strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
