Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Carrier Builder.

The hours for this role are 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

The hourly rate for this position is $23.12 minimum, based on experience per hour.

What you'll do:

In this position you will be completing hands on work to support production and the facilities key manufacturing processes. The person in this position will be responsible completing carrier repairs for all the braiding cells in the facility. This position is also responsible for ensuring carrier tension changes and carrier rebuilds meet operations needs and timelines.

Essential Functions:
• Disassemble braiding carriers, complete necessary visual inspections of parts, and reassemble carriers to working condition
• Troubleshoot carrier failures during repairs (e.g. during tension changes/rebuilds)
• Change tension of carriers by interchanging carrier springs based on run order
• Coordinate with production to meet carrier tension needs and carrier rebuild demand
• Proactively plans work and holds oneself accountable to meet needs of operations
• Will use tools such as drill press, angle grinder, basic hand tools, power hand tools (e.g. plyers, allen wrench, screw drivers)
• Works collaboratively with Operations and ATS across different shifts to make sure carrier needs are met
• Collaborates with braiding operators and uses carrier tracking sheets to determine if carrier rebuilds are needed
• Uses e-factory to track carrier run times
• Maintains a safe working environment. Abides by all safety requirements. Designs safety into every process and activity.
• Drives continuous improvement through CI practices
• Follows Eaton code of ethics, harassment free workplace policy, and leadership model to help create a respectful and high performing work environment

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience using measurement and hand tools (i.e. calipers, gauges, hand saws, grinders, wrenches)
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or mechanical work experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds unaided

Preferred qualifications:
• 4 years of maintenance and/or mechanic experience
• Experience working with braider carriers
• Associates Degree in a technical field (maintenance, mechanics, machining)
• 5+ years experience working in manufacturing environment
• 2+ years experience working to deadlines
