Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Buyer in El Paso, TX. The core hours are Monday - Thursday from 7am - 5:45pm.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 - $95700.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The Buyer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers or vendors to obtain goods, services, or raw materials required for the business's operations. This function is a critical step in the procurement cycle and significantly determines the quality, cost, and availability of the goods or services purchased. By doing so, these functions will maintain the organization's supply chain and guarantees that the organization always has access to the tools it needs to deliver on its objectives.

  • Consolidate suppliers to optimize costs by offering more purchases in exchange for better costs.
  • Planning and ordering the necessary materials required for the commercial centers of production.
  • Maintain inventory levels of materials in accordance with the objectives set monthly.
  • Expedite overdue materials to prevent the lack of raw material.
  • Have direct communication with suppliers regarding material usage as per forecast.
  • Troubleshooting problem bills to pay our suppliers, avoiding the suspension of our credit.
  • Support Supply Chain Corporate metrics and goals.
  • Drive and Negotiate Supplier add and or Relocation.
  • Purchase order creation and Management - Planning and ordering the necessary materials required for production needs.
  • Manage, mitigate, and report on critical delivery issues. Drive sustained recovery by implementing corrective action initiatives to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Identify and support material cost out projects, vendor transfer of work, etc.
  • Manage and respond to MRP requirements in a timely way, maximizing the supply base for delivery, cost and quality.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1+ years prior purchasing experience or related field in Supply Chain (Internship/coop experience preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or Supply Chain Management from an accredited institution
  • Experience using ERP system for material administration
  • Experience in Supplier negotiations, Inventory Programs, Supplier relocation
