Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Buyer. This role is based at our Broomfield, CO location.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year.

What you'll do:

• Purchasing - negotiates price, terms, quality, delivery, and replenishment strategy, claims, etc., supporting required material flow and supplier performance and relationship development. Negotiates supplier delivery schedules and advanced replenishment methods. Manage material flow (WIP - "work in process") through analysis of diverse reports and perform critical analysis to avoid operation disruptions caused by material availability or constraints. Manage the work order function which entails, but is not limited to, expediting late, or issuing components, maintaining MRP planning parameters, creation/closure of all work orders based on established ERP best practices, and managing rework of reusable core parts. Analyze inventory levels and meet DOH objectives through ABC strategy. Actively support timely disposition of deviated materials and return-to-vendor of defective parts. Manage cycle count, inventory adjustments, and root cause analysis to prevent inventory errors. Negotiation - Identifies qualified suppliers, issues RFQs, and evaluates supplier reliability; procures complex items (material, parts, supplies, and equipment), where detailed specification is involved, and following established purchasing policies and procedures and optimizing price, delivery, and terms; typically manages $5-10 million annual spend. Establish optimal inventory levels to achieve desired service, while utilizing just in time inventory management philosophies. Coordinate with procurement to prioritize material needs.

• Supplier Management - proactively monitors supplier performance (order placement, order changes, order performance, etc.); proactively identifies and executes solutions to ensure material flow to customer demand; manages issue resolution and recovery; develops/builds supplier relationships; effectively mitigates and escalates related risk to minimize impact to business/material flow and customer commitments.
• Commodity Management Support/Cost Out/Sourcing Transitions - supports strategy for assigned commodities; advocates and influences supplier selection and sourcing process; identifies strategic cost out opportunities; leads activities supporting supplier transitions - supplier approval process, spec/print package, RFQ, market tests, cost estimates, and other related activities; mitigates cost up challenges and maximizes cost out opportunities.

Qualifications:

Required Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1-2 years' supply chain or materials experience
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience using the SAP Materials Management.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.
• Will be required to work onsite at our Broomfield, CO site
• No relocation is offered for this role. Candidates must reside within 50 fifty miles of the Broomfield, CO facility.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration from an accredited school or related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience performing material planning in Supply Chain or Manufacturing
• Thorough knowledge of materials management, lean manufacturing, product scheduling, MRP/ERP, and SAP systems experience.
• Lean or Six Sigma Certification a definite plus.
• Strong PC Skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), especially strong Microsoft Excel skills.
