Business Development Manager, Large Data Centres, Critical Power Solutions EMEA

Rome, Italy

For our EMEA Power Quality, Critical Power System Business Unit we are looking for a Business Development Manager who will be steering growth for our UPS product lines and specific options within Large Data Centres across the EMEA region.
The role is reporting into our Head of Business Development, EMEA Critical Power Solutions.

The role is opened remotely for the following countries: the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Travel rate is fluctuating between 25% and 50% of the working time to the above mentioned countries, depending on business needs.

Role responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively initiate and execute Critical Power Solutions business development actions within Large Data Centre Key Accounts in the EMEA region, targeting profitable growth
  • Establish framework of cooperation with Key Account team and Data Centre sales ecosystem (Sales, presales, services, other Business Units)
  • Drive the increase of Data Centre sales ecosystem product & application knowledge by support, identifying training needs and transferring knowledge and best practices across the accounts
  • Conduct effective product launches
  • Function as a Voice of the Customer channel for product management when defining New products as part of NPD ProLaunch process
  • Manage and support presales teams and sales in defining the optimal product portfolio for specific account and coach for the right value prop. and positioning
  • Consolidate local market input including local competitive landscape, pricing information as well general market trends and sharers the input with the specified audience
  • Partners with UPS Product Managers and other Business Unit functions and ensures they stay in close contact with markets and customers
  • Owns Large Key Account factory forecast

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and/or Business, or equivalent knowledge. MBA is a plus
  • A Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales, business development or other relevant role within Data Centre industry
  • A good understating on requirements for electrical equipment in low voltage applications and in Data Centres. Basic knowledge on power electronics is required.
  • Ready to take initiatives and drive them autonomously, strongly customer-oriented
  • A strategic thinker
  • Fluent in English language, due to high level of international exposure
