Located in Titchfield, Hampshire, Eaton's Aerospace business stands as a global leader in aerospace fuel systems. We pride ourselves as a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. The Titchfield facility boasts extensive fuel and air system test facilities, facilitating comprehensive testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types.

We are looking for an Associate Program Manager to collaborate closely with our Program Managers to drive successful project outcomes by actively fulfilling key project tasks.

What you'll do:

  • Gain experience of core Program Management competencies to develop towards a PM Level 1 role
  • Support the Program Managers to meet the Qualification Hardware and initial Customer Hardware schedule objectives by:
  • Interfacing with the Operations and NPI manufacturing teams
  • Ensuring material moves through the supply chain and operational areas per the plan defined by the Program Management Team and agreed by the operational teams
  • Keeping the operational & functional teams aware of the plan and highlighting any concerns with adherence to plan to the Program Manager
  • Where issues occur, working to unlock by holding relevant functions accountable for their actions
  • Providing full visibility of work status (and recovery plans where necessary) to all relevant parties.
  • Communicating part shortages, advising availability information and key actions for critical items. Holding relevant functions accountable to deliver to plan or recovery plans where necessary.
  • Escalating any issues that will impact on the ability to meet the program schedules.
  • Supporting the program managers with progressing concessions, permits, non-conformances, Material Review Boards, FAIRS and conformity activity
  • Support the progression of the project as per schedule, identifying any risks along with associated mitigating actions or potential offsets where necessary
  • Review processes and tools for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Leverage core project management skills and key tools such as PROLaunch, anticipate challenges and makes proactive adjustments to meet commitments.
  • Contribute to the monthly program reporting, understanding the wider implications of the performance metrics, and how they can be improved.
  • Understand how value is created within a program
  • Effectively influence & motivate others to perform in a matrixed environment.
  • Leverage and share lessons learned within the department and the wider team
  • Uses risk management methodologies to identify and mitigate or offset risk. Identify opportunities to improve performance"

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Aerospace Manufacturing or New Product Development (NPD) environment
  • A degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferred but not essential

Skills:

  • The PMI Scheduling Professional accreditation (PMI-SP) is highly desirable but not essential. Attainment of this will be encouraged and supported
  • Knowledge of project finance preferred but not essential"
  • Familiarity with a gated review Project Lifecycle process, and understanding of the role of Program Management.
  • A high degree of proficiency in the MS Office suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Eaton products preferred but not essential"
  • Track record of meeting deadlines
  • Self-starting, tenacitious, resilient and focussed
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills and good business acumen
  • Strong communication/influencing skills, and ability to interface at all levels"
