Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Assembler (Underoil) - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $17.25 plus .75 shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

Utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform a variety of tasks in the production of the Power Systems Division Underoil arrestor product lines. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met.

  • Work under general and/or intermittent supervision, taking direction from lead person and/or supervisor, to execute all assemblies, processes, tests, and inspections related to a variety of standard light to medium weight assembly according to the OMS/standard work for each operation.
  • Work from prints and work orders.
  • Be fully trained on all operations within the Underoil department including drill press, tube slotter, cap etcher, tester, ink machine, packing, isolation link press as well as assembly of product.
  • Be fully trained on the Station Class wrap room to be able to support making the underoil modules.
  • Utilize tools including various air and hand tools, including in-line drivers, torque guns, Allen wrenches, and safety knives.
  • Work within the fast paced, sometimes repetitive department, and assists elsewhere based on production needs.
  • Maintain quality standards consistent with the Eaton's Quality Policy. Visually inspects components and products. Takes ownership of the recognition and communication of quality issues.
  • Notify the supervisor/manager of all problems with product or quality.
  • Work in a team environment, accepting other duties as assigned, including flexing between work cells/ stations as needed.
  • Perform assigned miscellaneous duties within the scope of operations, which may not be specifically listed above.

Safety:

  • Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with JSA's, wearing proper PPE, complying with the production attire policy, and assuring that the work cell has safe equipment and no risk is placed on their coworkers or themselves.
  • Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to supervisor or manager.
  • General cleaning of shop areas and personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalency from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Olean, NY area (50 miles) will be considered for this position

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate problems in product or quality in to supervisor or manager clearly and concisely.
