Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler I. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. The rate for this position is $19.14 per hour plus a $.50 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

In this function you will:
• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
• May use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe.
• Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
  1. Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
  2. Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to, layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
  3. Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.

• Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Skills:

Position Criteria:
• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Physical Demands:
• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds with or without accommodation. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance.
• Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
• Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
• Exposure to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
