What We’re Seeking

We are seeking assistance, via a short-term project, in researching, organizing, and helping to clarify the current publicly available plans (if any) for each state and several top national retailers. This information will help our company develop the proper master timeline to achieve compliance.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Our Deli Express and Market Sandwich brands, in particular, are packaged in plastic containers. Both retailers and states are beginning to adopt guidelines and legislation that mandate recyclable materials be utilized by manufacturers across the vast majority of products sold in stores. These implementation timelines vary by retailer and state – the soonest we are aware of outline late 2025 as intended timing.

There is not a uniform implementation date across states and retailers, and because of this, it is challenging to develop a clear picture of the first date by which EA Sween needs to utilize recyclable packaging. We are looking to two major retailers as the lead (first-to-market) in this effort.

Spreadsheet or PowerPoint presentation, which outlines the information available for each of the fifty states, plus top retailers previously identified.

Start:  mid-late December 2024

Completion:  mid-January 2025

Estimated between 60-100 hours of work.
