The Impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Product Management team, the Director leads a team of Product Managers, supervises, and assists in business analysis and documenting requirements of moderately complex initiatives with a primary focus on the book of work made up of regulatory, compliance and client experience driven projects. The position will oversee and sometimes draft and present business requirements to both internal and external partners for ratification, in addition to coordinating with cross-functional resources to achieve project objectives representing DTCC in various industry led forums on projects and new initiatives. The role also facilitates and leads external working groups composed of major industry participants that help advise on requirements and design options.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Client Engagement

  • Actively interviews clients to build out a detailed understanding of client needs within their product area, uncover new development opportunities, support existing services with enhancements
  • Expected to be SME in an area of the product and, where required, to attend meetings with clients to help with product area of expertise.
  • Facilitates and leads external working groups and other relevant subject matter working groups
  • Develops the feature prioritization in tandem with clients and delivers the priority for roadmap planning

Product Delivery
  • Defines success metrics for each product delivery
  • Work with the regional product management lead and business to deliver on the specific initiatives prioritized and budgeted for the region
  • Manages achievement of project deliverables and includes coordinating efforts of a variety of functional areas to ensure projects are completed on time and budget and within a quality framework
  • Collaborates with client support teams and technology partners (both Application Development and Enterprise Infrastructure) on delivering new capabilities and enhancements
  • Review / oversee user stories generation; works to remove preference bias/false-positive feature validation from story prioritization
  • Assists in product training efforts for all touchpoints to both internal and external customers, inclusive of documentation, publications, E Training tools, FAQ's
  • Monitor project budgets for specific initiatives / projects; develops pricing and revenue modeling for specific project features
  • Ensures the product development methodology process vis a vis specific projects are followed, i.e., ensures stage-gate process is followed (specific DTCC internal methodology)
  • Identifies potential risks to achieving project objectives and elevates to appropriate management

People Leadership/Management
  • Builds strong relationships between product management, product owners and engineering teams with join discovery, decision-making and shared accountability
  • Supports product development success by resolving conflicts, defining a shared goal and developing authentic and trustworthy connections with both internal and external partners
  • Lead small regional team within Product Management for assigned product area(s).
  • Collaborate with product management peers globally to ensure standard methodology and core principals are understood, adopted, and implemented in regional initiatives

Business Management
  • Defines annual success metrics for business and provides ongoing status updates against those metrics
  • Actively performs market assessment to perform ongoing analysis about existing products offering, customer potential needs, competitor threats and market trends

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience


Talents Needed for Success:
  • Regulatory reporting knowledge would also be considered favorably
  • Derivatives and/or Security Finance product knowledge
  • Strong business analysis and communication skills
  • Familiar with the "Agile" approach to project management as this will be deployed on most projects going forward


The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
