The impact you will have in this role:

The Operations Risk & Control group is responsible for maintaining the integrity of DTC's books and records through various monitoring, reconciliation and resolution activities aimed at ensuring the daily balancing of client, inventory, and internal account positions for both cash and securities. In addition, the Operations Risk and Control team monitors and processes agent related transactions and provides support to the FAST agent community.

Being a member of the Operations Risk & Control Team, the Director will oversee and set the strategic direction, provide daily oversight, collaborate across regional offices, and ensure a robust control framework is in place. The Director will communicate clearly and effectively across all levels, ensure all global team members are engaged and understand the department's goals and purpose, and reinforce the departments' position within Enterprise Business Operations.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Superior understanding of business line products and service offerings. Develop, communicate, and ensure adherence to regulation and guidelines, department risk policy, procedures, and standard methodologies
  • Advance and articulate a long-term strategy for the organization consistent with the corporate vision. Act as a catalyst for organizational change and ensure consensus with impacted partners. Ensure departmental goals are tied to organizational goals. Hold self and management accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results
  • Build and manage workforce based on organizational goals, budget considerations, and staffing needs. Implement team recruitment strategy. Develop human capital depth in a strong succession planning model. Develop resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization. Manage multi-site workforce while effectively applying a sound location strategy
  • Accountable for results of audits, risk assessments, and compliance with industry-related legislation. Develop and help implement management and risk mitigation tools
  • Connect strategic direction to fiscal responsibility. Understand business financials and work with complex data and information; adopt practical and workable approaches. Prepare, justify, and administer the program budget; oversee procurement and contracting to achieve desired results. Monitor expenditures and use cost-benefit thinking to set priorities
  • Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and ensure regulatory compliance. Demonstrate and embed the behaviors and proficiencies that build a risk management approach in the organization. Reduce risk through regular review of controls and implementation of operational improvements. Collaborate across functions and geographies to promote cooperation and drive solutions
  • High comfort level presenting to internal and external senior partners; demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills. Create credible impressions internally and externally; ability to meet on regulatory matters. Participate in internal and external committees
  • Establish climate of the business regarding communication, trust, diversity, employee satisfaction, and problem-resolution
  • Collaborate across boundaries to build strategic partnerships and achieve common goals. Develop partnerships with company partners, shareholders, industry regulators and other relevant parties

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
