The impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the Tax Information Services Team, the Senior Associate will support, maintain, and enhance DTCC's various domestic tax products, including the US Tax Withholding Service, 1042-S Reporting, 1099 Reporting, 2439 Reporting, and W-9 compliance. The US Tax Withholding Service is an automated system that allows non-US financial institutions holding US securities at the depository to comply with non-resident alien (NRA) withholding tax rules. In addition, the Corporate Actions Senior Associate will work closely with Product Management and the General Counsel to support these products and ensure compliance with current Treasury Department Legislation.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Work within the US Tax team to support all related functions for Form 1042-S tax reporting including data reconciliation, tax form generation, Form 1042 filing and tax correction processing
- Ensure proper withholding on all security types as well as the various components including Section 302, Section 305c, 1446(f), and 871(m) Reporting/Withholding
- Monitor and control reconciliation of tax adjustments on withheld funds and process post payable tax adjustments
- Ensure that tax withholding is remitted to the IRS according to the IRS-imposed schedule
- Complete operational processes by following documented procedures and job aides; make suggestions on improving process and efficiency
- Process specialized workflows, resolve exceptions, and assist with escalations and complex inquiries
- Demonstrate active engagement in meetings and display curiosity to learn and grow; accept feedback given and apply it to the role
- Facilitate training sessions for junior team members as directed by management
- Participate and own projects and initiatives
- Assist in benchmark tracking, audit follow-up, compliance, and risk management activities

Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of related experience in tax information reporting
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
Talents Needed For Success:
- Knowledge and experience with 1042-S tax reporting and associated regulations
- Experience with Section 302, 1446(f), 305(c), and related 1042-S regulations
- Work with the team to ensure quality and accuracy on all deliverables
