We are currently seeking a talented Senior Transmission Planning Engineer, with expertise in transmission system analysis, grid modeling, and power system optimization. In this position, you will be working within the Power & Renewables business unit.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Lead our efforts to help project developers conduct injection studies in compliance with NERC, regional reliability standards, and RTO/ISO requirements.
- Provide technical insights into generation interconnection studies, network upgrade economics and transmission congestion analysis across our platform.
- Work alongside other power market experts to provide solutions across the entire spectrum of the electricity industry.
- Deploy production-grade code.
Competitive Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, computer science, applied mathematics or a related field; Master’s/PhD preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in transmission planning, grid operations, or related areas in the power sector.
- Proficiency in power system modeling tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerWorld, TARA, PROMOD) and the theory behind them.
- Deep understanding of load flow analysis, contingency analysis, and transient stability studies.
- Familiarity with the economic modeling of power markets.
- Knowledge of NERC reliability standards, RTO/ISO operations, and generation interconnection processes.
- Proficiency in Python for automation and analysis.
- Success in delivering scalable, high-performance software is a plus.
