About the Role
As Product Manager, Subscriber Acquisition you will partner closely with our cross-functional teams from Growth Marketing to the Newsroom. You will own and optimize all product experiences that convert our users into paying customers, including our paywalls, shop pages, onsite placements and registration flows across our portfolio of brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, MarketWatch and others. Working closely with the executive team at Dow Jones, and reporting to the VP of Subscription Product, you will be responsible for planning, defining and executing against the Subscriber Acquisition roadmap.
You are a creative self-starter, multi-skilled in product strategy, marketing and technology. You pride yourself on delivering features on-time and without compromising quality. You are able to efficiently manage multiple initiatives concurrently, while effectively communicating to stakeholders throughout the product development process.
You Will:
- Work cross-functionally across business lines to define product requirements and prioritize the Subscriber Acquisition roadmap.
- Support digital subscription growth by creating and enhancing top of funnel user experiences including onsite placements, registration prompts, the paywall and shop pages.
- Manage an ongoing A/B testing program; defining tests, launching them to production and analyzing their results.
- Own both the long term strategy and roadmap for the paywall product including enhancements and optimizations to increase conversion rates and subscriber revenue.
- Perform analysis to demonstrate ROI and impact of product enhancements to help us measure against our subscription goals.
- Work with research teams to gather and analyze audience feedback regarding our products.
- Collaborate closely with software developers and UX designers throughout the product life cycle.
- Define and measure KPIs for success.

You Have:
- 5+ years of product management experience, with a subscriber or direct to consumer focus.
- Some direct experience working with, or on, a Growth Marketing team.
- Previous experience with paywalls.
- Passion and knowledge about digital media, news and investing.
- Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative consumer research.
- Fluency in product metrics, specifically those related to subscriptions.
- Experience defining and implementing product requirements for websites and mobile apps.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across the full spectrum of internal stakeholders and customers.
- Proven ability partnering with a technology organization.
- Proven strategic thinking skills.
- Experience conducting experimentation.
- Familiarity with Optimizely, Piano Composer or similar paywall technology is a plus.
