About the Role:
As Product Manager you will help launch new products and features for consumers. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for planning, defining and executing product initiatives.
You Will:
- Work cross-functionally to define and prioritize business and editorial requirements for new products and enhancements.
- Field stakeholder, client and customer service requests and work with engineering and shared services teams to ensure issues are triaged
- Make product enhancement and optimization recommendations to increase revenue both from advertising and subscriptions.
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria for features, tasks and bugs using JIRA
- Work with research teams to gather and analyze audience research and feedback regarding new products and enhancements.
- Work closely with software engineers and user experience architects and designers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define and measure OKRs.
- Collaborate with other product managers within Dow Jones to roll out shared capabilities.
- Partner with editors to ensure they have content publishing capabilities and tools they need to drive audience engagement and subscriber value.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning sessions and retrospective meetings
You Have:
- 2+ years of product management experience (but open to candidates in the digital media industry who'd like to transition from Business Analyst to Product Management).
- Passionate and knowledgeable about digital media, news, real estate and investing.
- Strong analytical skills, including knowledge of web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Parsely and Google Analytics
- Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative consumer research and leveraging that to inform product requirements.
- Experience defining and implementing product requirements for websites and mobile apps.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across the full spectrum of internal stakeholders and customers.
- Proven ability partnering with a technology organization.
- Highly strategic as well as detail-oriented.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
