About the Role:
The Product Manager, Ad Operations and Privacy Compliance, will support the ad operations, legal, privacy and data governance teams in accurate and timely execution of digital advertising campaigns. You will be responsible for working to help identify and resolve issues around the collection and processing of personal data by third parties. You will work closely with internal teams to maintain responsible advertising and data governance.
Role will require:
- Understanding of:
- the digital media/ ad tech ecosystem, including types of advertising sales such as contextual and interest-based direct sales, programmatic, and advertising supported custom content and sponsorships
- the deals and data flows with DSPs, SSPs, Exchanges, Networks and Publishers, and other relevant platforms
- data collection methods and data flows from collection through enhanced data mapping in our data lake for interest based advertising segmentation and sharing with vendors
- the identity landscape, DMPs, the use of aggregated and anonymized user information, and the use of data clean rooms
- relevant privacy laws in the U.S., EU (and other jurisdictions), including notice and consent
- Ad Tech governance
- Importance of alignment between ad operations, data governance and legal/privacy
Responsibilities include:
- Support digital advertising deals and data collected through tags and similar technologies for compliance with relevant privacy laws and Dow Jones' policies and ad tech governance
- Collaborate with ad ops, legal, privacy compliance and governance teams to define data flows and functional use of data
- Document data flows
- Provide technical support for advertising and guidance to digital partners to ensure privacy compliance
- Work closely with Ad Ops on the onboarding of new digital partners and vendors
- Complete vendor documentation to support consent management platform and onboarding requirements.
- Follow up with account teams and clients to provide answers to meet compliance requirements
- Account manage data collaboration and data clean room relationships, ensuring clients and vendor paperwork and data flows are properly executed
Experience and Skills Required:
- 7+ years of direct experience in digital advertising and marketing, interest-based advertising preferred
- 7+ years employment in product management, product marketing or brand marketing
- Experience working with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (i.e., clients and industry groups), navigating US and International Data Privacy Regulations
- Experience diagramming data flows
- Basic familiarity with scripting in Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, api/request
- Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technology, such as Sourcepoint, One Trust, and scanning tools
- Ability to communicate clearly and work in a cross-functional environment

Pay Range: $110,000 - $135,000
