We are looking for a Data Engineer that will design, develop and maintain database architecture and code initiatives supporting internal and third-party software solutions, delivering excellent products in scope and on time, and meeting current and long-term business needs for the business area. Participate in an agile team of motivated, driven, high-energy engineers, building trust and confidence with team members and business stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and coach junior data engineers to build stronger and faster teams.
About the Role:
As an experienced and solution-oriented Data Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: working with our product teams to provide timely, effective and performant solutions; contributing to the design of scalable data solutions, including the development of automated pipelines; implementing and/or maintaining database systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our application suite; understand and define business data requirements and identify data needs and data sources to create scalable data architecture and support enhancements, new product and implementation. You will also have the opportunity to coach, mentor, and train team members driving both employee and team development and growth.
Your Expertise:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year of database developer/engineering experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake preferred)
- Strong experience in creating data models for the integration of multiple systems
- Strong experience in creating and maintaining stored procedures
- Strong experience in writing SQL queries and statements to explore source data and data issues
- Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning
- Experience with data architecture and design for large-scale data solutions
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Service (AWS) or other cloud computing platforms
- Knowledge of C#, Microsoft .Net framework, Python or other programming languages
- knowledge of Python, PowerShell or Power BI
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for code deployment
- Familiarity with execution plan analysis and performance tuning
- Must speak and write in English fluently; Effective communicator
