Job Description:
The Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) is seeking an analyst to provide price assessments for the Asia fuels market and report news related to the fuels industry. This position will be based at our headquarters in Singapore, and report to the Asia editorial director.
The successful candidate will be developing and expanding on existing coverage.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as an analyst capable of delivering daily price assessments and market intelligence for the fuels market in Asia, including the Middle East.
- This job will require the reporter to gather spot market deals from market participants through email, instant messaging and over the phone to verify the legitimacy of the transactions.
- Build relationships and maintain regular conversations with members of the Asia fuels industry.
- Maintain and expand internal databases
- Participate and contribute to local and global team meetings
- Writing breaking news and feature stories
- Represent OPIS at industry events. (Travel is expected)

Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree, ideally with at least 2 to 3 years of working experience
- Must have superior copy-editing skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
- Applicant should be an analytical and motivated self-starter
- Possess a demonstrated ability to interact successfully with customers and collaborate with colleagues across different business units.
- Be able to work under tight deadlines and be detail-oriented.
