It's an exciting time to join our rapidly growing Accounting team in Mexico with ample development opportunities and be part of a growing and dynamic team. We are looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Accounting team.
About the Role
The role entails working closely with our data experts in Engineering to understand the accuracy of the numbers being used for entry into our general ledger system and with our Finance business partners to be able to articulate why financial information changed. There is a fair amount of collaboration with other teams and within our team to complete the monthly accounting close cycle. You will get experience in working with your manager for scaling processes for growth, taking them from manual to automated. You will get the opportunity to understand financial metrics and analytically review financial information as well as how to develop forecast information.

You will report into our US-based Revenue Accounting Manager on our Revenue team in our global Accounting organization. You will be able to work fully remote, from a home office, based in Mexico.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis at month-end close for revenue related accounts in accordance with U.S. accounting principles
- Detect and resolve data issues and reconciliation gaps
- Prepare various account analyses under the instructions and supervision of the Revenue Accounting Manager
- Support annual audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility
- Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, legal and various business owners as needed to obtain needed supporting documentation
- Own SOX control performance and documentation maintenance
- Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned
We're excited about you because...
- You have 5+ years accounting experience (U.S. GAAP experience a plus)
- You have fluent proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- You have experience working for a U.S. publicly traded company
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- You have month-end closing experience
- Audit experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm is a plus
- You have experience with Netsuite or other large ERP systems
- You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest mass amounts of data
- You have strong analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated understanding of accounting cycles
