About the Team
The Leave of Absence & Accommodations (LOAA) Team delivers a best in class experience executing leaves of absence and accommodations for our employees. We strive to provide excellent service at times of high importance to the employee and aim to continuously improve efficiency for our partners through technological advancements and process improvements, both in day to day operations and long-term initiatives. This role is a part of the larger Total Rewards team.
About the Role
The Manager, Leave of Absence & Accommodations (LOAA) is responsible for managing the LOAA Team. The team oversees all global leave of absence operations, policies and procedures while working closely with all other business stakeholders. All LOAA activity is managed in-house without a vendor (other than vendors for our disability insurance). We are seeking a versatile, quick-thinking team member to join our team and support employees company-wide. This role is a full-time opportunity. You will report into the Director of Benefits on our Total Rewards team in our People organization. We expect this role to be 100% remote with occasional travel to offsite meetings with the team, who are based remotely throughout the US.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
- Manage the LOAA team, including LOAA Business Partners, Leave Administrators, and LOAA Compliance and Escalation Specialist.
- Lead LOAA Team operations including development and enforcement of global leave of absence and accommodations process flows, policies and procedures.
- Manage LOAA vendors, including ongoing meetings, monitoring performance guarantees and contract and payment issues.
- Act as an expert on LOA cases and accommodations, including federal and state-mandated regulations; global LOA knowledge is a plus.
- Provide guidance to LOAA Team members on complicated and challenging leave cases, and respond to escalations.
- Understand and integrate programs involved in the LOAA process, including company leaves and disability benefits, CA/NY SDI, Workers' Compensation, as well as other international (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.), federal, state and local mandated programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in the leave process including People Business Partners, Employee Relations, People Operations, Payroll and Legal teams, and our employee managers.
- Explore and implement new technologies to enhance employee experience.
- Develop and track metrics related to LOAA cases and employee experience, including regular reports to leadership.
- Support other initiatives as needed.

- You are an expert managing LOAA activities, including state and federal job protections and the interactive process for accommodations.
- You have 5+ years of experience managing leaves and accommodations and 2+ years of people manager experience.
- You have a BA/BS in human resources, statistics, or an equivalent combination of experience.
- You have experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance culture where the business is constantly evolving.
- You have excellent judgment and the ability to make sound decisions independently.
- You're a strong multi-tasker with an exceptional ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- You have experience with absence management software (AbsenceSoft is a plus).
- You leverage technology to optimize processes for scale and efficiency and improve the customer experience.
- You have a demonstrated track record of successful cross-functional leadership, collaboration, and relationship building. You know when to listen, and when to speak up.
- You understand both the big picture and the details.

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location.Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
$112,200-$165,000 USD
