About the Team
The New Verticals Success Management team retains, grows, and improves DoorDash's partnership with SMB merchants. We work with non-restaurant business segments including Alcohol, Flowers, Convenience, and Hemp. This is a fast-growing, exciting part of DoorDash at the forefront of the company's evolution. Our team is located throughout the US and Canada, with a concentration in Phoenix, Arizona. We also employ a large vendor program in the Philippines.

About the Role
As a leader on the New Verticals Success Management team, you will oversee 5-10 Success Managers in the US, and 5-10 vendor contractors in the Philippines. Responsibilities include people coaching, performance management, and working directly with merchants.
As New Verticals is a developing part of DoorDash, you will take on projects to support program strategy and structure. These include enablement, process, cross functional collaboration, and new initiatives.
You'll report into the Director for New Verticals Success Management and Implementation. This role is remote with occasional in-person strategy summits, team meetings, and merchant visits (travel estimated twice quarterly).
Key Responsibilities:
Team management (70% of bandwidth)
- Lead 5-10 US-based reps
- Coach team to meet revenue and quality goals
- Design contests to motivate or plans to turn around underperforming metrics
- Work directly with high value or escalated merchants
- Foster team morale through culture initiatives
- Coach career development
- Lead 5-10 contractors via our Philippines-based vendor
- Partner with vendor's leadership team to provide strategic comms and enablement to reps to help them meet goals
- Write summaries of team performance and pilot results
- Speak to team performance in business reviews with senior leadership
Strategic program management (30% of bandwidth)
- Program management of 1-2 New Verticals business segments
- Ideate and recommend rep activities, goaling, and tooling
- Propose and lead strategic projects to progress program evolution
- Improve team enablement, process, roles and responsibilities, tooling, and people resources
- Collect, organize, and share Mx feedback with cross functional partners to inform product builds and business decisions
- Represent Account Management in cross functional meetings and decisions

Compensation
Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants and sales commission. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

$98,640-$145,040 USD
The total on-target earnings (base + commissions) for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
