About the Role
DoorDash is hiring an exceptional and experienced Counsel, Ads & Promotions to join our legal team. You will partner closely with our sales, product, and strategy & operations teams that support everything related to our advertising and promotions business. This business operates at the intersection of e-commerce and advertising, surfacing and monetizing relevant content that benefits our core audiences. This role will provide all aspects of legal support to this developing and innovative area at DoorDash, including both commercial and product work, as well as partnering with the business on any operational and strategic risks.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of strategic commercial contracts and transaction documents, including advertising and marketing contracts with vendors, agencies, and b2b clients. Sales contracts, data licensing agreements, terms of service, and merchant/client correspondence.
- Advise business partners on contract structures, business strategy, legal issues and risks, and company policies and procedures.
- Provide product and regulatory counsel for new and innovative ads products
- Partner with many cross-functional teams to provide legal and general risk guidance for issues concerning our data, digital advertising and promotions products
- Maintain and improve our body of contract templates, playbooks, and processes.
We're excited about you because...
- You have experience in the legal issues impacting retail media networks, advertising, marketing, promotions, digital media, technology and related matters
- You are passionate about negotiating commercial contracts, including master services agreements (i..e, professional services and client/ sales), agency agreements, platform agreements, and data licensing and processing agreements.
- You have experience providing product/regulatory counsel in the ads space
- You have a strong business acumen.
- You have strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- You have at least 5 years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department, with experience in the digital advertising ecosystem.
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- You have a JD and are admitted to one state bar

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location.Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
