About the Team
The Marketing Technology team is responsible for delivering best-in-class tools, data, and processes so teams at DoorDash can effectively acquire new customers, drive retention, and grow new business lines across all our audiences, including Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants. Our mission is to ensure teams can deliver personalized, engaging, and relevant content across all our owned and paid channels. We drive the Marketing Technology vision and strategy, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to translate Marketing's technology needs into measurable business outcomes.

This role supports our ability to deliver personalized campaigns across owned channels like email, push, SMS, and web, ensuring our platforms are fully integrated, reliable, and easy to use.

In this role, you'll solve complex technical puzzles that directly impact business growth, develop and implement strategies to ensure seamless platform integration, and work closely with our Data Engineering and Analytics teams to unlock new and improved segmentation and personalization capabilities. As the connection point between marketing strategy and technical execution, you'll serve as a key advisor to marketing teams, providing technical guidance to help Marketing teams transform campaign strategy into execution. This position offers a unique blend of technical challenge and business impact, and your work will directly influence customer engagement and business growth.
The role reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Platforms within our Growth Marketing organization.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
- You'll manage day-to-day MarTech platform operations (configuration, permissions, data feeds, integrations) and continually assess how to leverage new features and capabilities across our tools.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to identify opportunities and implement solutions that will improve the customer experience, drive operational efficiency, and support growth initiatives across multiple lines of business.
- You enjoy problem-solving in real-time, using your expertise and technical skills to identify creative solutions to data or integration challenges between our 1P and 3P tools.
- Work with Lifecycle Marketing Managers and Campaign Operations to build and launch complex customer journeys. You'll help set up targeting rules, event-triggered messages, and multi-step workflows in our marketing automation platform.
- Serve as a MarTech expert within the Growth Marketing team, working with Platform Leads to develop, prioritize, and manage Product & Engineering requests. Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on topics related to our marketing platforms, providing insights and recommendations to support evolving goals and business needs.
- Drive MarTech adoption and best practices: improving internal tools, processes, and safeguards to ensure our customers consistently receive personalized, relevant, and high-quality content from DoorDash.
We're excited about you because...
- You have 5+ years of experience in a marketing technology, marketing operations, marketing analyst, or similar role, with a deep understanding of Marketing Technology, You're familiar with how campaigns are built and delivered across channels (email, push, SMS, etc.) and have seen what it takes behind the scenes to make them successful.
- You have extensive experience working with enterprise-level CRM and Marketing Automation Platforms and a strong technical understanding of how those platforms work and integrate with additional internal and third-party tools, including the relevant data concepts (APIs, JSON, ETLs, etc).
- You have strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills and hands-on experience working with SQL and BI tools (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Sigma, etc). You can write queries to extract and analyze user data (e.g., find all users who took a specific action, or verify how many users qualify for a segment). You can use this ability to support marketing use cases and troubleshoot issues.
- You are solutions-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and have a proven track record of managing and delivering technical projects.
- You thrive in high-impact, fast-paced, cross-functional environments and consistently drive impactful business outcomes while prioritizing customer experience in decision-making.
- You have an outstanding ability to think creatively and enjoy working on complex problems. You can effectively manage risks and devise alternatives when faced with roadblocks.
- You excel at navigating ambiguity and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deeply understand and solve business challenges, synthesizing complex ideas into actionable recommendations.
- You are a strategic negotiator with cross-functional partners and have a proven track record in being able to influence without authority.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are confident in presenting technical concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and can work with team members at all business levels across organizational boundaries and matrixed reporting structures.

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location.Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
