About the Role

DashMart is looking for an operations-focused Associate that excels in a fast-paced, remote environment and is excited to roll up their sleeves and lead from the front. This role will sit on a newly formed "Center of Excellence" team within our Central Operations team. The role will focus on driving operational excellence across our DashMart operations from a local and central operations perspective. As a subject matter expert, you are responsible for diving into some of our toughest operational problems to understand what's driving them and providing solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support: The SMEs would be the first line of defense for slack responses and questions in other forums. Many times there are site level nuances that come up and the SME will be able to help guide SMs through rollouts and edge cases.
  • Training: While the remote training team will remain DRI for training creation, the SME will provide on the ground support for complex training (such as DMK Launch). This will complement the support work as questions arise on new training from on-site teams.
  • Standardization: The SME would be a resource to help improve adoption of SOPs and one-off requests. This includes Operational Health Checks and tracking.
  • Rescue: When a site needs improvement, troubleshooting the SME would travel onsite to help get the metric back on track. These opportunities will be systematically identified via the site scorecard and in partnership with the central ops partner. They can also be facilitated ad hoc via intake form from local ops leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • SOP creation. The SME will help create process documentation for new processes rolling out in their expertise area.

While each team member will be mapped to a discipline, the team will be required to be flexible and able to support across other discipline areas as needed.

You will report into the Associate Manager, Center of Excellence, on our Central Operations team within the New Business Verticals operation. This is a hybrid role with ≤ 80% field time spent within our DashMart locations. For most roles, you can expect to spend time both at your local DashMart site as well as 25-80% traveling to support DashMart sites across the US.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • You act as a specialist, engaging in central and local operators to contribute ideas to improve our site operations quality and DashMart customer experience.
  • You help improve operations innovation and proactively recommend solutions based on feedback collected to ensure consistent approach across all disciplines.
  • You're able to train new hires (both Associates and Managers) on operational processes and give them the confidence to run the full operation.
  • You are a culture setter for DashMart sites and set the tone while on-site through values and mission.
  • You dig in to obtain a deep understanding of the DashMart processes to ensure our local operators are set up for success. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will educate and provide guidance to fellow colleagues on all aspects of DashMart both remote and in person when necessary.
  • You collaborate with cross-functional partners to support initiatives that align with the Center of Excellence vision.
  • You own the outcome of all initiatives you work on; clearly communicating and documenting your findings.
  • You report findings and share key risks with key stakeholders to improve operational efficiency.
  • Through standardization best practices across the organization, you're confident in the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • You assist with day-to-day tasks while on-site. Receive product from partners, place product in appropriate locations, prepare orders, help clean and organize work areas. You'll do whatever it takes to delight our customers with a high-quality experience.
  • Delight Customers. While on-site you ensure the teams deliver orders smoothly and provide an amazing customer experience.

We're excited about you because...

  • You have 5+ years of experience leading in a high performance operation, supporting field and central operations including Kitchen Management, Warehouse Management, Retail Management, Learning & Development, Launch, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • You're self-motivated, positive, and a team player. You work well with others, and you bring a great attitude to your work each and every day. You have high integrity and are excited to delight customers. You are capable of working independently with remote management.
  • You're scrappy. You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done whether it's digging into a new process to determine how best to communicate it to new hires or helping troubleshoot a technical issue. You have a high bandwidth, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
  • You're a proven relationship builder. You are a servant leader with a high EQ, adept at building relationships. You lead from the front and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. You explain the why and bring your teams with you as you determine the best course forward and execute on that strategy.
  • You're a teacher. You have conducted training and succeeded in high-performance cultures such as tech, retail, restaurant, or warehouse environments. You are capable of absorbing the deep knowledge of subject matter experts in diverse processes across DashMart and then distilling that knowledge down into easily digestible bites.
  • You are proficient in Google Suite applications.
  • You are a problem solver. You're not interested in the status quo. You love thinking about new opportunities or process improvement potential. You know how to identify a problem and work through the solution from A to Z, and more importantly how to explain that thought process to others to obtain buy-in. You are open to feedback and know that the best ideas come through collaborative thinking.
  • You're organized and demonstrate an ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • You're data driven and have experience with data analysis and visualization tools. You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have a strong attention to detail and are able to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • You're efficient and have experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Other Considerations...

  • Serv-Safe Manager Food Safety Certification
  • Understanding of relevant business processes and industry trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Comfortable using SQL, Atlassian, Canva, Learning Management Systems, Sigma, and/or LucidChart.
