Overview: The Screening Services Engineer, supports the London Screening Room in an operational, technical and administrative capacity. This includes running DCP and non-DCP screenings, hosting events and performing maintenance on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operation of the London Screening Room
- Provide front of house and technical support to internal and external clients
- Schedule and carry out regular preventative maintenance to ensure Screening Room is in a constant state of readiness, including but not limited to.
- Regular room checks
- Audio / visual calibration
- System / hardware updates
- Facilitate third party support / maintenance as required
- Maintain maintenance record
- Manage physical and digital data according to Dolby' content security best practices
- Maintain asset tracking system
- Perform inventory checks
- Manage the receipt and return of client media / assets
- Assist with record keeping, analysis and resource planning using internal tools such as but not limited to Salesforce, Smartsheet, Sharepoint
- Maintenance / operation of broader technical spaces / labs
- Data IO
- KDM creation / distribution
- Content creation / QC / distribution
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in Production / Post Production, Theatrical
- Deep understanding of Digital Cinema, exhibition and supporting systems / workflows
- Proficient in operating Digital Cinema playback hardware such as Xenon / Laser projectors, DC IMBs, R&S Clipster
- Understanding of content security best practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interface effectively and professionally with internal and external clients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
- Evening and weekend work as required
