The Digital Platforms Team is seeking the next generation of passionate individuals to assume an active role in driving excellence across Dolby's digital touchpoints.
This internship will include supporting the Digital Platforms team across a variety of projects and initiatives, with a specific focus on managing content updates for our two primary touchpoints, Dolby.com and Professional.Dolby.com.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing the content update request form, requirements gathering, asset management, content publishing and website page maintenance.
The right person for this role can demonstrate an ability to think holistically and consider all aspects of the task or responsibility they've been given. Collaboration and communication skills are critical, as the team's success is hinged on our ability to understand, decipher, consult and recommend an approach that best suites each project's needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Content Strategy and Production:
- Manage content updates for Dolby.com and other web properties in the CMS, for both the US and regional teams.
- Implement SEO content recommendations to support discoverability and site traffic.
- Work with outside agencies to facilitate site updates, bug fixes and new feature enhancements.
- Help manage the CMS authoring guide, ensuring authoring instructions are helpful, accurate and up to date.
- Communicate new CMS features and capabilities to regional stakeholders, this may include training sessions, monthly newsletters, and shared documentation.
- Propose and implement data driven changes to page design and content strategy, conduct a/b testing and highlight key results.
- Willingness to participate in and learn competitive research, usability testing, personalization and other advanced user experience practices.
- Build strong relationships with category marketing and product marketing stakeholders to understand their vision, business and audience objectives.
- Work with regional teams to support content localization recommendations and strategies.
- Collaborate with in-house creative and teams to bring your vision to life.
- Hands on experience building websites and/or publishing content through a CMS.
- Interest and understanding in website design principles.
- Basic understanding of software industry standards and development tools (Jira/ GA/ Smartsheets).
- Openness and eagerness to learn and train on Dolby content management systems is critical to the success of this role.
- Experience in understanding best practices and trends in site architecture, layout, and navigation.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without supervisory reminders. Managing expectations is a key to success.
- A passionate interest in technology, consumer electronics, and entertainment are preferred.
- Demonstrated creative problem solving and proactive learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate clearly.
- Ability to work in fast paced work environment with rapid and continual changes.
- Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Digital Marketing, Computer Sciences or a related field.
- Must be available to work full-time for 9-12 months
- This role will operate out of the Dublin office with oversight and management from Dolby's HQ in San Francisco (openness to flexible working hours and international travel is a plus).
- Willingness to travel to other Dolby offices including London and HQ if necessary.
