Working as part of the Global People Operations team, the Global People (HR) Operations Associate will play a key role in supporting global People programs and projects while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This small and agile team is responsible for a wide range of HR systems, administration, analysis, and employee support to Dolby's global workforce (APAC, US and EMEA). You should have experience with United States Federal and State employment law. You will be instrumental in developing and ensuring spectacular employee and manager experiences

What you'll do

  • Global Administrative Support
    • HR administrative work to support global employee lifecycle events (onboarding, offboarding, transfers, mobility, etc.), including drafting employment agreements and contracts, Visa & I-9 processing, benefits administration, payroll inputs, reporting, and data & document management
    • Maintain HR data and administer HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Replicon)
    • US Compliance reporting and support, including labor law posters for all US offices, required EEO-1/Pay Data reporting, state mandated reporting, Federal and State notices, etc.
    • Utilize ServiceNow to support employee and manager inquiries on Tier 1 People related matters and how to navigate systems and processes at Dolby; escalating as appropriate
    • Participate in launching new HR programs/processes including process development, improvement, and testing
    • Develop and update knowledge articles in ServiceNow to proactively address employee inquires
    • Collect feedback on global employee lifecycle events to continuously improve the experience
    • Closely cooperate with other functions such as payroll, benefits, IT, and legal in ensuring integrity of HR data
    • Support internal and external audit requests related to SOX controls
    • Manage HR related mailings and notices
    • Ad hoc requests and support
  • Atlanta On-Site Support
    • Be the face of the People team in Atlanta by supporting people operations and the
employee experience in our Atlanta office
    • Support site leaders and other stakeholders on developing a roadmap for People and site related programs and improvements
Required Experience/Skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees at all levels, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with great attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork, transparency, and open communication
  • Helpfulness and the ability to go above and beyond to deliver a great employee experience
  • Resourcefulness with problem-solving, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions
  • Proactive and always looking for ways to improve
  • Willing to learn and embrace technology in order to improve the employee experience and how we get our work done
  • Basic working knowledge of United States labor laws and employment policies
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • At least one year of experience with HR administration or related
  • HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and/or related enterprise software experience
  • Ability to work from the Dolby Atlanta office at least three times a week

Preferred Experience

  • Proficient in a second language (French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
  • Experience working with a multinational company
  • Experience with cloud-based HR systems (SuccessFactors ideal)
  • Proficient with digital collaboration tools, including HR case management and knowledge base
software (Service Now ideal)

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $63,100 - $74,500, which can vary if outside this location,plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
