The Role

We are looking for a Director of Sales Engineering to lead a team of sales engineers and drive the adoption of our cloud media products. Reporting to the VP of Revenue, you will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to expand our customer base and ensure successful technology integration. If you are passionate about helping customers succeed and solving technical challenges, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of sales engineers.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop customer relationships and drive adoption.
  • Engage with prospective customers, demonstrating the value of Dolby's cloud-based technologies.
  • Serve as a technical expert in streaming media.
  • Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and resolve technical challenges for potential customers.
  • Create compelling demos showcasing Dolby's products and capabilities.
  • Gather customer feedback and advocate for new features within internal product and engineering teams.
  • Provide detailed integration support and technical expertise to customers.
  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering or similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Strong knowledge of streaming or broadcast technologies (e.g., codecs, protocols, advanced networking).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin).
  • Experience with modern API-driven web architectures and a strong grasp of web technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating SDKs into customer environments.
  • Familiarity with Dolby's products, technologies, and customer use cases.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-hosted services.
The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000 - 226,000, which can vary if outside this location,plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. The New York Area base salary range is $206,000 - $283,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
