The Marketing department creates passion and relevance for the "Dolby Difference" driving sell-in and sell-thru of Dolby enabled devices, services, content, and experiences across multiple constituents - partners, creators, consumers, and developers.
SUMMARY
The Digital Platforms Team is seeking a creative and technically adept intern to take an active role in creating compelling and curated experiences in our demo app, Dolby XP. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual to be a part of the end-to-end process of envisioning, planning, building, and launching digital experiences while gaining valuable experience with a world-renowned technology company.
Our breakthrough entertainment technologies power the world's top movies, tv shows, music, games, and live sports across a wide range of consumer devices. The Dolby XP app allows our sales, business, and events teams to deliver curated content and experiences that demonstrate the "Dolby Difference" to their targeted audiences.
Working along side the app product manager, you'll be responsible for helping craft the experiences that our stakeholders share with their contacts and partners. You'll talk to stakeholders to understand their business, customer needs, and technology to create a plan. You'll kick off requests for assets and video content with internal teams to support that plan before building it all together in our CMS. And finally, you'll test that experience across mobile, desktop, and tv platforms before it's shared by with our users.
Additionally, you'll also assist with the analysis of app usage data, identifying unmet user needs for new features, and the development and testing of new features in the app.
Like Dolby, we are looking for someone who can weave together art and science. The right person for this role can translate a product story into a compelling web page layout - and they can also quickly become familiar with the in's and out's of new software tools. They can draft an intuitive new user journey across different digital touchpoints - and find innovative ways of reusing or twisting current functionality to unlock that vision. They can get into the weeds to learn how the nuances of different audio and video codecs - and also translate and simplify those learnings into a story that can be understood by a non-technical stakeholder at 35,000 feet.
Collaboration and communication skills are critical, as the team's success hinges on our ability to work with internal cross-functional teams and outside vendors to achieve our goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Get curious about each of our stakeholder's business area, target customers, and technologies to assist in planning a narratively compelling experience that is also technologically sound
- Work in concert with our Audio/Video Content Team to scope, spec, and drive content requests through our media encoding pipeline into our CMS
- Build and publish demo experiences and related user journey touch points in our CMS
- Provide app account management and support to our internal stakeholders and our external users
- Test our in-app experiences for both understandable user journeys and for proper audio/video playback across mobile, tablet, PC, and TV devices
- Assist in the testing of new app features and apply a critical and curious mind towards
- Assist in the analysis of app usage data and translating those readings into recommendations for stakeholders
- Manage communications, updates, and respond to requests from internal stakeholders using the app
- Build strong relations with our supporting design, video content, and engineering teams, including outside vendors
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands on experience building websites and publishing content through a CMS
- Understanding and familiarity of app or web design principles
- Basic understanding of project management tools (Jira/GA/Airtable/Excel)
- A strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion/aptitude for both software and information technology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid and continual changes
- Demonstrated creative problem solving and proactive learning
- Can balance multiple projects and perform assigned tasks without supervisory reminders. Managing expectations is a key to success.
- Attention to detail, interpersonal skills, effective written and verbal communication, time management, and reading, writing, and research skills are required.
- Coding is not required - but a curious mind for how things work is
- A passionate interest in technology, consumer electronics, or arts and entertainment are preferred.

ELIGIBILITY
Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing , or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday - Friday for 6 months between May/June 2025 - December 2025.
