The DX Tech and Digital Supplier Partnerships & Ops Technology (SPOT) Product Solutions Quality Engineer is part of the Disney Experiences team responsible for verifying the quality and reliability of applications to ensure the accuracy and dependability of the SPOT B2B Products. Reporting to the Manager of SPOT Product Solutions, this role works with the product solutions team to define and implement test plans for all tool and application launches within the SPOT Tools Framework. This position will engage with all current SPOT applications and products across various SPOT verticals, horizontals, and other business units to support the evolution of the SPOT Platform. Additionally, it will assist in managing the workflow and requests of vendors and third-party resources to help the organization enhance guest and cast experiences.

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer position requires a "product-driven" approach to understand the core business and Disney Experiences. They should focus on learning, contributing to SPOT data strategies, identifying high-value improvements, and implementing tactics for faster tools and platforms. The role includes developing validation protocols, analyzing test results, and recommending improvements for SPOT tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute validation protocols and test plans to ensure the accuracy and functionality of our products.

  • Conceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, enhancements, and/or new systems and applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Project, Engineering) to identify and address any potential issues or risks during the validation process.

  • Conduct thorough analysis and interpretation of validation test results and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of validation activities, including test protocols, reports, and data analysis.

  • Stay up to date with industry standards and regulations related to validation processes and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on product design and development to ensure validation requirements are met.

  • Collaborate with product development teams to define validation requirements and develop test plans.

  • Has in depth knowledge of current technologies, writes code, completes programming, and may perform testing and debugging of applications as well as documentation

  • Analyze test data and provide detailed reports on the results, including any deviations or issues encountered.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to address any identified issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of validation activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on product design and development to ensure validation requirements are met.

  • Continuously improve validation processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Strong understanding of validation principles and methodologies.

  • Experience in developing and executing validation protocols and test plans.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to validation processes.

  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, fostering strong partnerships across functions with high level of ownership and adaptable approach to addressing evolving business and technology needs.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
