As the Executive Housekeeper, you will provide daily leadership to the housekeeping department. You will inspire a multicultural team including both salaried leaders and hourly direct reports. You will foster an environment focused on safety and cleanliness. You will also ensure an efficient turnover of Guest rooms with continued excellence in cleanliness and service throughout their visit. You will be an essential decision maker for the operation connecting the housekeeping function to the Guest experience. Coordination with important partners in other departments will be crucial to your success. A passion for bringing ideas to life and creative solutions. If selected, you will report to the resort GM.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, inspire and develop a multicultural team of salaried direct reports and hourly Cast Members to exceed Guest service expectations and achieve exceptional cleanliness standards

  • Set clear expectations for leaders and teams, provide the necessary tools to do the job correctly, and hold all Cast Members accountable to standards.

  • Ensure daily pre-shift meetings are conducted, are inspirational and communicate relevant Guest, Cast or business information

  • Act as a leader in the coaching and motivation of the non-salaried Cast to ensure a high level of communication and work closely with the team to establish goals and measurements to heighten guest service.

  • Foster an environment supporting the delivery of the Five Keys (safety, courtesy, inclusion, show efficiency) and the Five Core Service Principles

  • Coordinate and inspect daily housekeeping assignments to ensure “show” quality.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Housekeeping or Custodial with knowledge of chemicals, materials, cleaning technique and equipment

  • Passion for service and commitment to safety and security awareness

  • Advance skills managing demands and deadlines simultaneously amidst constant change

  • Capability to adapt to new technology and computer applications quickly

  • Operating a company vehicle along with a valid US driver's license is requirement for this role

  • Creativity to find solutions, anticipate business impacts and serve as a trusted advisor for direct reports, peers, partners and other leaders

  • High proficiency managing the financial impacts of an operation and producing positive results

  • Aptness to work with partners from different levels and teams to move the operation forward to the next level of excellence

  • Capability to share communication across teams to ensure everyone understand updates, priorities and appropriate course of escalation

  • Competency to translate results into clear, story-based presentations to different audiences and levels of leadership

  • Increased focus to support the roles of trainers and leads

  • Commitment to inspire, educate, and hold leaders and hourly Cast accountable to support the Guest experience

  • Commitment to promote an inclusive work environment that supports workforce diversity and diverse perspectives

  • Available to work any day of the week and time, including weekends, variable shifts and holidays

  • Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift repetitively during entire shift

  • Able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 85 pounds

  • Proven self-starter who continually pursues learning opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multilingual skills, particularly Spanish

Education

High school degree or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
