The Disney Vacation Club Compliance Manager will lead a team performing marketing, sales, member, and strategic program reviews for timeshare regulatory compliance, and will provide hands-on leadership and client support to enhance partnerships. This role is responsible for continuous improvement of the approvals, and for the process management of detailed reviews within a highly complex and regulated business.

The candidate will possess strong project management and root cause analysis skills to problem-solve and collaborates with peers and internal clients to overcome obstacles. This role will prioritize projects and ensure internal deadlines are met to bring programs and initiatives to market.

This person will report to the Manager, Compliance and sits in Celebration, FL.

This is a Full-Time role.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team in the review of marketing, member, sales, and strategic programs.

  • Perform compliance review of new marketing initiatives in the conceptual stage and review of major programs that impact multiple departments.

  • Lead the review of major initiatives and coordinated research projects to update compliance guidelines.

  • Consult with Marketing Strategy Managers on a frequent basis to ensure effective partnership and alignment.

  • Collaborate on Disney Vacation Club strategy and Business Affairs initiatives and create programs to implement.

  • Cultivate positive relationships and work closely with Disney Vacation Club executives in Legal, Sales, Finance, Public Affairs, Public Relations, Operations, and other partners (internal and external) to drive the approach and operational plans for regulatory compliance projects

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity overseeing direct reports, cross-functional teams and managing projects while promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in real estate or timeshare compliance or legal related role

  • Ability to lead a team, think strategically and develop team members; extensive legal research skills, with the ability to lead major research projects

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to succinctly articulate complex subject matter

  • Understanding of direct marketing tactics and related consumer protection requirements at the state and federal level

  • Strong emotional maturity and conflict resolution skills, with a particular emphasis on forming and maintaining positive, constructive working relationships with internal clients

  • Strong familiarity with legal research applications, such as Westlaw, and other appropriate applications such as the Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Required Education:

  • 4-year Degree in Legal Studies or other applicable field of study

Preferred Education:

  • Paralegal or Compliance related course of study

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent
