Job Duties and Responsibilities

Looking for a technical and strategy leader to lead a team of expert technologists and architects who envisioned and designed the most advanced 5G network. The forward-looking candidate must have wide breadth and depth in 5G and other access technologies such as 4G, and Satellite; and associated implementation, and be ready to take it to the next level. The leader shall set the mid-term and the long-term goals and objectives for the team to maintain the best network and services, and further the Network of Networks Vision and Architecture. Work cross functionally to establish clear lines of communications and roles & responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for setting up DISH Wireless Architecture and Technology roadmap through ideation, validation and delivery.
  • Own and drive e2e network strategy and evolve in consultation with Enterprise, Retail and other Business Units
  • Work in close collaboration with Engineering, Products and Others to establish priorities and conduct due diligence on the requirements.
  • Drive "Network as a Code" and "Network as a Service" architecture abstracting services and use cases from the underlying network domain
  • Lead the team on advanced technologies such as RIC, Slicing, ML, multi cloud.
  • Present to executive leadership team on new initiatives and for approvals
  • Responsible for new Vendor evaluation and selection.
  • Identify and work with new innovative partners- both small and big.
  • Embracing Automation as the way of working, continuously evaluate new methods and technologies to improve network performance, resiliency and visibility
  • Lead the way for network evolution from Cloud Native to Edge Native and AI native.
  • Support Open RAN ecosystem development and collaboration.
  • Lead the team to innovate, to ensure long-term success.
Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • 15+ years of Experience in Telco preferably both on Operator and Vendor side
  • Have in depth knowledge and expertise on 5G, 4G, Networking, Silicon and Cloud technologies
  • Working knowledge of network design and operations. Good understanding on Zero Trust Architecture and its applicability to Telco network.
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge and experience in a variety of wireless and cloud infrastructure domains: RAN, Core, Data Center, IP Networks, and Security.
  • Able to conduct long term design and budget planning, and handle multiple project simultaneously
  • Able to manage decentralized teams that are spread across multiple time zones; and provide guidance and mentoring to the team
  • Have demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial analysis and network modeling
  • Have good understanding on contracts and supply chain
  • Preferred to have SDLC and Product management experience
  • Preferred to have experience in Regulatory, Satellite and Spectrum engineering
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to manage expectations and constant improvement
  • Masters or higher in Engineering or Computer Science
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $200,000.00/Year - $300,000.00/Year

The base pay range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Compensation is also based on the role's location and may change depending on the work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check. The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
