Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close process by preparing cash and investment journal entries
  • Verify that all of the data provided to management is complete and accurate
  • Ensure SOX and GAAP compliance
  • Complete all of the monthly bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Effectively communicate with business partners, team members, and managers in order to resolve any issues in a timely manner
  • Identify and implement efficiencies and anticipate any potential roadblocks
  • Seek and eliminate non-value-added tasks and create solutions
  • Organize and lead meetings with groups outside of Accounting
  • Effectively communicate with senior management on matters of importance
  • Create and maintain department procedures
  • Work with other internal and external groups on special projects
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred but not required


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to read financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements
  • Familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
  • Ability to work with other professionals across different departments within Echostar
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change quickly
  • Ability to work with different levels of management
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision
  • Time management skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Compensation is also based on the role's location and may change depending on the work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check. The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
