Job Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Staff Accountant I to join our accounting team. In this role, you will primarily support DBS Inventory, ensure compliance with SOX controls, manage various general ledger accounts, and actively participate in the monthly close process. This position involves occasional travel to different facilities to support inventory reconciliation and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Accounting & Reconciliation:
- Manage and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies
- SOX Compliance & Controls:
- Monitor and implement SOX controls related to inventory and general ledger accounts
- Assist with documentation, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- General Ledger & Account Management:
- Maintain, reconcile, and analyze various general ledger accounts related to inventory and other assigned areas
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Monthly Close Process:
- Contribute to the monthly close process by preparing and posting adjusting entries, reviewing trial balances, and ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analyses for management review
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance, to support inventory accuracy and process improvements
- Provide financial insights and support for both internal and external audits
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field (internship experience is acceptable)
- Experience with inventory management and general ledger accounting is preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general ledger accounting software (experience with Oracle is a plus)
- Familiarity with SOX controls and compliance requirements is a bonus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
- Willingness to travel as required (anticipated travel up to 10%)

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year
